Jaipur Set to Procure 100 Air-Conditioned Electric Busesedit
Jaipur City Transport Services Limited (JCTSL) has issued a request for proposal (RfP) for the supply, operation, and maintenance of 100 fully air-conditioned electric buses in the city under public-private partnership (PPP). The project is expected to cost ₹1.75 billion (~$24.4 million), and the buses will be procured on a gross cost contract basis (GCC).

Electric mobility waste management can be a profitable business in the long run but India is yet not geared up to handle it, thinks Director-General of SMEV (Society of Manufacturers of Electric Vehicles) India Sohinder Gill. “Whether it’s Lithium recycling or automotive waste management, India is currently not at all geared up to handle issues of automotive and electric mobility waste recycling. Whatever recycling takes place is through kabadiwalas (ragpickers),” said Gill, who is also the CEO of Hero Electric.
KSEB plans EV charging units at auto stands, mallsedit

Evolet, the EV arm of the Gurugram-based Rissala Electric Motors, said on Monday it aims to open over 100 dealerships in the country and sell 1,500 vehicles per month by March next year as part of its plans to have a nation-wide presence. The start-up EV player, which opened its flagship showroom for two-wheelers in the city also said in a release it will have 20 dealerships across Maharashtra by March 2020 including at Pune, Nasik, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Satara, Kohlapur and Jalgaon.
BSES Delhi discoms, Ola Electric to set up battery swap stationsedit
BSES Discoms has signed MoU with Ola Electric for setting-up battery swapping and charging stations for electric vehicles. While BSES Rajdhani Power Limited (BRPL) will set-up the station in south and west Delhi, BSES Yamuna Power Limited (BYPL) will do so in east and central Delhi, an official statement said. The agreement, valid for a period of three years, is a first of its kind agreements in Delhi and is likely to hasten the adoption of EVs in the city.
