Bhopal goes green: 100 e-buses to ply on city roads in next 6 monthsedit

After missing out on CNG buses, the public transport system in Bhopal is all set to go green, as the civic body has decided to operate 100 electric buses on city roads in the next six months. Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) commissioner B Vijay Datta said on Wednesday that each of the 100 buses will have a capacity of about 38 seats and will ply more than 200 km daily.

Kerala government is also offering a subsidy of Rs 30,000 on electric three-wheelers in addition to FAME II benefits.
