Four AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT Partner Models to Come with Fast BIOSes, Rest Will be ~5% Slower (PROACTIVE)edit

AMD’s Radeon RX 5600 XT is all set for launch tonight, with about two dozen board partner models prepped and raring to go. These include GPUs from PowerColor, ASUS, Sapphire, Gigabyte, ASRock, XFX and MSI. We’ve checked with AMD and it appears that four out of these 18 models will support the faster vBIOS out of the box.

AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT (Sapphire Pulse) Review: Killing the 2060 & 2060 Super in one Blow (PROACTIVE)edit

The Radeon RX 5600 XT is a solid win for AMD. Not only does it trump the RTX 2060 it also manages to perform on par with the $400 2060 Super in certain titles. The temps are across the board and the TDP is also in-line with the NVIDIA competition. There is one concern though. As of now, only four RX 5600 XTs support the faster vBIOS out of the box. The rest of the cards are ~5% slower: 130MHz lower boost clock and 2Gbps slower memory.

The new Radeon RX 5600 XT will be available in retail for the DIY enthusiast audience, while the Radeon RX 5600 will only be available in OEM desktop PCs. The company has also launched the Radeon RX 5600M for laptops.

Qualcomm announces Snapdragon 720G, 662 and 460 for mid-range and entry-level smartphonesedit

Qualcomm is adding three new processors in its Snapdragon lineup. At an event held in New Delhi, the chipset giant announced the Snapdragon 720G, 662 and 460 mobile platforms. The new chips are meant for mid-range and entry-level smartphones. The San Diego-based Qualcomm says the aim to launch the new chipsets was to hit newer price points and bring more advanced technologies to mid-range and budget smartphones. All three mobile processors support Wi-Fi 6 as well as integrate Bluetooth 5.1 with advanced audio.
