Creating corporate reputation that’s ‘real’edit

Reputation Today

Today, we notice companies turning to blogs to complement their communications bouquet. Considering the storytelling angle, blogging is a powerful tool for communicating business stories. Communicating business stories in a compelling way, helps engage new audiences and build relationships with existing customers. It also positions you as a thought-leader in your space. Thus, this can be a powerful way to aid business growth, in the long term.

No quick-fix, PR is investment in future!edit

Reputation Today

Unfortunately, many corporates still look for PR solutions only when they are under fire. They do not invest in PR from the beginning of their businesses. If your reputation is good – that is if you have done good reputation building exercise – crisis could be a passing cloud, unless of course something terrible like a Bhopal gas tragedy occurs. The world stands by you if you enjoy a clean reputation. Even trade bodies openly support you. We have seen a recent instance of a big corporate captain coming under cloud during the coalgate scam and emerged without his shirt getting wet.

Five ways to build a creative culture in a PR firmedit

PR Moment

A regular question seems to crop up at the moment: “How do you keep an agency creative for so long?” In my case, 16 years. So, in response, I usually say something around constant evolution, never standing still – and always delivering.

But the truth is actually more complicated. That’s because whilst it’s easy to talk creative, it’s much harder to deliver it, year in year out. And to do this either for established clients or for new ones, to meet challenging briefs or (much worse) to deliver on no brief at all. The expectation is you always will, though. Here are five things that I believe drive a creative culture:

The 30 Top Corporate Communication Teams in Indiaedit

Reputation Today

There are over a thousand companies in India that have a communications leader. This is a back-of-the-envelope estimate. Even if the Top 25 firms had an average of 40 clients, we would reach a four-digit figure. These companies include listed companies, private limited companies and multinational companies. There are at least 300 companies that have a communications team, which means two or more people managing this function on their own or with the help of a PR firm. Around a dozen teams have gained prominence in the last couple of years for the great work they do, the amazing campaigns they run, the sheer number of awards they win and the magnitude of the mandate they have. ...
